Signal Hill summit with rock map of Arkansas The Signal Hill Trail at Mount Magazine State Park near Paris, Arkansas, is a trail that every Arkansas hiker should do at least once. It takes you to the top of Mount Magazine’s Signal Hill which is considered the highest point in Arkansas at an elevation of 2,753 feet.

Benefield East Loop Trail – Mount Magazine The Benefield East Loop Trail at Mount Magazine State Park is one of the prettiest trails I have hiked. It is a one-mile loop that starts at the Benefield picnic area a little ways south of the Visitor Center. The gorgeous views are on a half-mile-or-so segment along the south end of the mountain. This section has breathtaking views of the Petit Jean River Valley and the Ouachita Mountains.

Footbridge on Warren Hollow Trail at Lake Fort Smith State Park Lake Fort Smith State Park, in its current incarnation, is a pretty new state park. This park near Mountainburg, Arkansas, was originally constructed largely during the Depression by WPA workers. The park had to be rebuilt when the Lake Fort Smith reservoir was recently expanded. The Warren Hollow Trail is a newly constructed trail at the park. This .6-mile (each way) trail runs from the Visitors Center up to the location of the new group lodge being constructed.
If you are on your first visit to Robbers Cave State Park (near Wilburton, Oklahoma), you should take 45 minutes or so to walk the Robbers Cave Trail. 
Robbers Cave Trail While this .4-mile loop (yellow blazes) trail is pretty short, it is something of a workout due to the climbing you have to do as you proceed up to the Robbers Cave and then up to the area above the cave. The work required is well worth it though as you will have some great scenic views while on the trail.

North side of Creekmore Park walking path by Rogers Avenue Creekmore Park is one of the most popular parks in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The park features a half-mile walking path that loops around the park. For those in Fort Smith, walking the path in Creekmore Park is a very pleasant way to get some exercise without having to leave the city.
