Will Apple’s Road Trail at Mount Magazine State Park is a pretty simple trail. It is a former road that makes a nearly straight line downhill from the Visitor Center to the horse camp. It runs parallel to the highway.

During leaf-on times of year (such as now in the summer), you can’t really see any scenic views from this trail. This is a disappointment on Mount Magazine where one hopes to see some nice views.

There also is a spur to the remains of the Buckman pool. (See this History of Mount Magazine.) Unfortunately, I can’t really say that the short trek on the spur from this trail down to the Buckman pool remains is worth the effort.
